In Flood by Andrew Vachss we meet Burke, a private investigator with a major bad attitude. His client is a beautiful woman with master level martial arts skills. Together they try to track down a child killer through the streets of New York. This gritty crime fiction will keep you page turning all the way to the end. It has a crazy cast of characters that become Burke's dream team to solve the case. It's a great read and super entertaining. Check it out! #crime #fiction #action #thriller #suspense #murder #mystery #ebooks #crimefiction #books #novels.

The Killer Inside Me by Jim Thompson
Will anyone figure out who the killer is? A Sheriff from a small southern town tries to find the killer, but there's an odd twist to this novel. It's a fantastic read, with stream of consciousness from a murderer's conversations with himself.  Jim Thompson has written a ton of gritty crime fiction including: The Getaway and The Grifters.

Emotionless Crime Fiction

I just finished The Hunter by Richard Stark. This is the first Parker novel and what a great ride it was. Parker gets out of jail with nothing but revenge on his mind. He's an emotionless thug with payback on his mind. He storms in and climbs up the ladder wrecking the organization to get his money back. Like a freight train he doesn't stop until he get what he wants. I had a good time following Parker as he beat down bad guys all over town. Check it out you'll like it. #crime #fiction #thriller #mystery #suspense #action

End of Watch was just released on Netflix streaming service.  This Police crime fiction drama seemed so real at times you might forget its a movie. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña and the character development is extremely well done. While on patrol they start running into a Latin gangs that are connected to a Latin drug cartel. The more they trip over gang's activities the deeper they get. Nasty gang bangers and unexpected horrors fill this documentary style film. #crime #fiction #thriller #movies #police #action #film #crimefiction #Mystery

I recently read Two-Way Split by Allan Guthrie and thoroughly enjoyed it.  The character development sucked me into his gritty writing style.  A post office robbery leads to exciting interaction with some shady folks. More than a handful of twists and surprises as the plot unfolds in this awesome page turner.    #crime #fiction #mystery #thriller #suspense
